DESCRIPTION:Synthesis of the three pathsApproaching the great mystery of dance \nImmerse yourself in sacred dance and the secrets it holds. Gentle physical training\, aesthetics\, and universal spiritual practice flow together. Playing with form merges with the formless. Experience the vastness of your own consciousness and the gifts that dance has in store for you. Reflecting on our own truthfulness\, our journey of discovery is playful and lively. \nStep by step\, Paramjyoti introduces us to contemporary temple dance. Her school offers three paths\, for which we will develop a feeling this weekend: \n\nfree movement from the connection of our heart with our spirit\nturning around one’s own axis\ndancing step sequences and dance formations\n\nBreathing is already movement\, it is dance. Inspired by the connection with our breath\, we allow the dance to unfold further. We take this closeness to our breath with us into the preliminary exercises for the turning dance and into the turning dance ritual itself. The interplay between what arises in the mind and the form in which it is expressed comes to the fore. We pay attention to this interaction and explore it in gestures\, step sequences\, and geometric figures in space\, especially the circle. \nAll three paths of the Infinite.dance school are keys to experiencing the vastness of our own consciousness and allowing our life dance to unfold from here. SUMMARY:ascending\, a whirling dance offering
DESCRIPTION:ascending\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				A new project series by Infinite.dance is ascending. A group of whirling dancers from the Devadasi – Dance of the Heart School perform a whirling dance ritual that is open to the public. \nThe higlich aesthetic aspect of the whirling dance practice may inspires spectators to watch. They can sit\, stand and change place from time to time. This allows them to gain new perspectives. Their physical presence becomes a part of the movement that takes place in the space. \nAbove all\, the event invites introspection. Into our own hearts and into the spirit that inspires\, enlivens\, and uplifts us. Perhaps someone will sit down to meditate or recite prayers. Others may even want to join in the dance? \nascending is a hybrid of a performance and an invitation to actively participate. Those who would like to dance along are kindly requested to attend an introduction to the whirling dance practice prior to the event itself. Announcements can be found in the online calendar. An 1.5-hour introduction is usually offered before an event. It will be announced at short notice and will take place on the evening before or on the day of the event itself. \nThose who are already familiar with the spinning dance are kindly asked to inform us in advance of their desire to dance with us. This gives the chance to all who are involved\, to familiarize with the spirit and style of whirling dance according to the school of Infinite.dance. \nThe whirling dance offering\, that is being presented with live music\, is meditative and at times even ecstatic. Its frequency and radiance is grace\, peace and freedom. In the infinite whirl that is rooted in the unmoving\, bliss shimmers. Experience with Paramjyoti and friends an approach that honors the form\, origin and spiritual path of Sufism and transcends it\, entering into the universal language of spirit\, heart and soul. \nMusicians: Herbert Walter (ney\, oud\, voice and more; oriental music theraphy\, sufi music) and Daniel Haas (percussion).  \nParamjyoti will lead us into the practice of whirling along her free approach and lyrical style. By the live music as well as our movement prayers a sacred space is being created\, which has a healing effect on the individual as well as the group and the collective.
